Hi, Iām Sari.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families heal from trauma, addiction, and other mental health challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Florida International University and my Master of Social Work from Florida State University.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings, including private practice, inpatient, outpatient, and intensive treatment programs. My clinical expertise includes trauma, substance use disorders, eating disorders, family-of-origin issues, and co-occurring mental health concerns.
I am trained in EMDR and have extensive experience utilizing psychodrama and Gestalt therapy. I believe that lasting change happens when therapy moves beyond talking about experiences and allows clients to actively process and work through them. My approach is experiential, engaging, and focused on helping clients gain deeper insight while creating meaningful and lasting change.
In addition to my clinical work, I developed and implemented a specialized trauma treatment curriculum within an inpatient addiction treatment program that continues to be utilized today. This work strengthened my commitment to helping clients address the root causes of emotional distress, addiction, and unhealthy patterns rather than simply managing symptoms.
I have a particular passion for helping individuals understand the impact of childhood experiences, family dynamics, and unresolved trauma on their present-day lives. My ideal clients are introspective, motivated for change, and interested in doing deeper therapeutic work. They recognize that healing involves more than symptom reduction and are ready to explore the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that have shaped their lives in order to create meaningful and lasting transformation.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences, and help you build a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
I believe healing is possible at any stage of life, and I would be honored to support you on that journey.
