Hi, I’m Rachael.
My name is Rachael Livingston and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) within the state of Pennsylvania. I am a trauma informed therapist who offers specialized care in the treatment of trauma, as well as addiction related concerns. I hold certifications as a certified clinical trauma professional level 2 (CCTP-II), and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor (CAADC). I also offer support for other common challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship/attachment concerns, life stressors, perinatal concerns, and struggles with self-esteem and identity.
It is my belief that treatment is a collaborative process and I work to focus on the unique strengths and needs of each individual. Because I tailor treatment to my clients, my approach is highly individualized and I pull from various modalities during sessions. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). In addition to these modalities, I incorporate expressive arts and sensorimotor techniques into the therapy process when it benefits my clients. I am an LGBTQ+ ally and offer virtual and in person therapy sessions for adults ages 18 years and older.
My experience in the mental health and substance abuse fields includes care provided in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment centers such as the Caron Foundation, outpatient, community-care, and school-based environments. This makes me uniquely positioned to work comfortably with a diverse population of clients and issues. I received my Master’s degree in clinical psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and maintain continuing education as well as consultation in order to stay informed, up to date on various therapeutic techniques, and to provide the best care possible to my clients.
When I have free time, I love to fill it with things like crafting, listening to music, or practicing yoga. My favorite way to pass time is to connect with nature by exploring trails, taking photos, kayaking, or simply being outside.
I would love to help you get started on your journey of healing, self exploration, and trauma recovery. If you are ready to take those first steps, contact me to schedule your free initial 15 minute phone consultation, and we can discuss what working together will look like.
