Hi, I’m Lauren.
"What am I supposed to do now?" If you're struggling with loss, trauma, a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to help you find your way forward. With over 20 years of experience in therapeutic and educational settings, I bring a compassionate, tailored approach to client therapy.
I’m Lauren Newman (LAPC, MEd, MA), and I help adults and teens navigate life’s challenges with compassion and expertise. Areas of focus for me are grief and loss (death, divorce, aging parents, etc.), eating disorders (I worked in an inpatient e.d. setting), conflict resolution (parents and teens, couples), and life transitions (job loss, parenthood, illness, retirement, etc.). I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
My counseling style is person-centered, adapting to each client’s unique needs. I integrate various therapeutic methods, including CBT, DBT, Sandtray therapy, IFS, art therapies, and even drumming (as I play drums in a rock-cover band).
When you're ready to explore new ways of managing life’s challenges, I’m here to support you. I believe that our circumstances do not define us, even though they may scar us, leaving their mark. I am dedicated to helping my clients tap into their inner strength—strength they may not always realize they possess—to face and challenge life’s difficulties.
